The Influences
Ma-Ma & Daddy and them
As a little girl, Sarah's two main food influences were her Ma-Ma (that's country for Grandmother) and of course Daddy and them! She loved being at her MaMa's knee in the kitchen where the family meals bore testimony to southeastern North Carolina fare. And out at The Bumming Hole, where her Daddy and family would gather for cooks 'n' eats featuring Chicken Bogs, Pig Pickin's, Catfish Stews, Lowcountry Shrimp Boils, Saturday Night Fish Frys, and Oyster Roasts, she learned to cook for crowds. She quickly learned how powerful good food and a cold drink can be in bringing people together.

She brings the party!
Sarah wants everyone to love food and the kitchen as much as she does. She truly brings the total Chef Experience right into your home. Your friends will gather around her in the kitchen while she makes your evening a memorable one. She will work with you to plan the event and meet your needs, whether it be a couple's evening for two, intimate small parties for you and your friends, or a large affair. She even suggests the tastings and pairings for the event. Your guests won't be able to stop talking about the fabulous food!
The Attitude

Years of passion and dedication
Could what began as a hobby become a career?
That's what Sarah needed to find out, and her decision to study Food Management and Culinary Arts at Johnson & Wales University answered that question. She learned everything from melon carving to ice carving and got an in-depth look at International Cuisine, and experienced Italian cuisine personally while studying abroad in Florence, Italy. Her certificates in Soups, Stocks, and Sauces and Advanced Patisserie equipped her to prepare each course with care and precision, and now Sarah is putting those skills to use to create the menu of your dreams!
